Composition details and elemental fractions will appear here after a material is added.
Energy Selection
Full NIST XCOM range: 1 keV – 100 GeV (Buildup valid only: 15 keV – 15 MeV)
Unit reminder: 15 MeV must be entered as 15000 keV if unit is keV.
Buildup Factor Settings
Zeq basis sets the ratio used for equivalent-Z solving. GP coefficient mode is separate: interpolated ANSI rows are standard, while nearest reference is mainly for table checks.

Layer Stack Builder
Multilayer Shield Modeling
Three calculation modes
Build one ordered stack here, then choose a mode below. Broad-Beam uses its own scoped controls in the same workspace.
Ordered Stack
Stack Summary
No layers yet.
Add at least one layer to build a photon attenuation stack.
Mode Selection
Attenuation / Transmission
Mode Controls
Use the shared energy selection, or switch to a local single value or list.
Mode
Approximate buildup uses the runtime depth grid and marks unsupported rows as N/A.
Scope. Attenuation / Transmission is narrow-beam only. Approximate Buildup is an order-aware GP approximation. Broad-Beam is a scoped 511 keV family for Lead, Concrete, and Iron.
Confirm citation note before multilayer calculation or export.
Build a stack, choose a mode, then calculate.
No multilayer results yet.
Build a stack, choose a mode, then calculate.
Layer-Level Runtime Output
Per-Layer Contributions
Layer order is preserved. Cumulative attenuation and cumulative transmission follow the exact stack sequence entered above.
Shielding Depth Analysis
EBF & EABF vs Energy
Valid in 15 keV – 15 MeV
No buildup matrix yet.
Run Calculate to populate the depth grid.
Neutron Summary
Effective Removal Cross Section (ERCS)
Unsupported entries stay N/A
No ERCS summary yet.
Calculate at least one material first. This table will then show the material-level neutron removal breakdown.
